What is Kybella?
KYBELLATM (deoxycholic acid) is the first and only FDA-approved nonsurgical/non-invasive treatment for improving the appearance of submental fullness. What is submental fullness?
Submental fullness is sometimes referred to as “double chin”.

Pockets of fat can be genetic, and can form despite weight or healthy eating. This contributes to an older and heavier overall appearance. According to a survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), 68% of people are bothered by submental fullness.
What should I expect?
Treatment with KYBELLATM is customized by the physician to the patient’s aesthetic goals for an improved chin profile. Once assessment and marking is complete, a series of small injections are placed in the submental skin. It may take up to 3-4 weeks to begin to see clinical improvement. Most patients require 2-4 treatment sessions spaced at least a month apart. Once the aesthetic response is achieved with KYBELLATM, retreatment is not expected.
